Unless otherwise specified, all rentals are based on a 28-day rental cycle paid in advance. JOTS Rentals does not pro-rate rental fees.
Customer is responsible for all loss or damage (including theft) to the products provided other than normal wear and tear. Fork-lifts, backhoes, and other heavy equipment used in the loading of roll-off dumpsters and moving portable restrooms are the leading cause of damage. The use of trash compaction services can cause damage to dumpsters. The customer will be responsible for any repairs necessary from damage caused by these processes.
JOTS Rentals recommends placing portable restrooms close to the point of entry for job sites. Paved access and close proximity (within 20 feet) to pavement will help us guarantee weekly service is completed without interruption. Our team will deliver restrooms to the location of your choosing, with the understanding that certain placements and weather conditions could result in missed service.
Customer shall not overload or move dumpsters/restrooms or make any alterations or improvements to the dumpster/restroom, and shall use them only for the proper purposes for which it is intended. Customer shall be liable for any overweight fines or charges caused by an overload condition. Customer agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless JOTS Rentals against all claims, damages, suits, penalties, fines and liabilities for injury or death to persons or loss or damage to property arising out of Customer’s use, operation or possession of the dumpster. As in the case of renting an automobile, once the dumpster is in the customer’s possession, it is the customer’s responsibility. On service days, Customer shall provide unobstructed access to the dumpster or restroom. For roll-off dumpsters, if, on the day of scheduled collection, the dumpster is inaccessible, Customer will be notified and charged a one-time $145 trip-fee for the missed attempt at collection.
All trailer equipment, wheels, and tires are inspected prior to rentals. Any issues with trailer equipment, wheels, or tires will be the responsibility of the customer once the trailer or equipment is in their possession.
Customer warrants that any right of way provided by Customer for the rental location to the most convenient public way (street, road, etc.) is sufficient to bear the weight of all JOTS Rentals dumpsters/restrooms and vehicles required to perform the service contracted. JOTS Rentals shall not be responsible for damage to any private pavement or accompanying sub-surface or any route necessary to perform the services contracted. In addition, JOTS Rentals shall not be responsible for damage to lawns, fences or shrubbery in accordance with an agreed upon drop location. In designating a drop-location, Customer assumes all liability for damage to pavement or road surface, sidewalks, driveways, lawns, fences, shrubbery, trees, septic systems, sprinklers, water lines, wells, or any other part of the property. Roll-Off Dumpsters and the trucks that bear them are extraordinarily heavy, especially when loaded.
